Tour of Pennsylvania stage 1b: Philadelphia criterium

As the second stage of the opening day, the very short 39.2 km criterium will certainly be a sprintfest. The course also plays out on the Memorial Hall concourse and includes 20 laps of a 1.96 km circuit.

The criterium is scheduled to start at 18:00 and finish at 18:50.

Congrats to Daniel. Both portions of Stage 1 were certainly very favorable. I’m looking forward to seeing the highlights on Versus tonight, and I’ll be cheering for my fellows-in-Felt in person when the tour hits Pittsburgh.

Bear with me here. I’ve been watching cycling for about a year now, but just hooked onto a team (Slipstream) mostly because of the doping policy. I was watching the 1st stage Tour of PA crit just now, and saw that a young guy named Daniel Holloway won. I saw he was on a felt, had the blue and orange Giro helmet, had a Pearl Izumi kit, and I think he had the Chipotle ad on the side. I assumed he was on Slipstream, but it said he was on team VMG-Felt. Is that us, or someone else. Adding to the mystery, he wasn’t on the riders list. Whats goin’ on?

Ooooh. I figured it out. VMG/Felt is Slipstream’s U23 team. And all I had to do was dig around the web site. Sorry, I’m an Argyle newbie.
