Direct velo has Dan at 2nd on GC – unless there are bonuses I reckon he’s in yellow.
Tom Danielson……you need to start making all of us believe that you deserve a spot on the Tour de France team!!!! This ITT was going to be your day….according to your own reports.
Danielson was 50th on this stage, 5′14″ behind the stage winner. What is the deal? This was a perfect stage for him.
Matin was 5th at 1′39″
Lowe was 6th at 1′53″
Brilliant 2nd Overall for Dan. I thought he was in yellow but the GC for stage 1 was incorrect for Lelange. Could be a blessing in disguise not to be in yellow before the BIG stage.
way to go Danny boy!
There is always something preventing Tom D from realizing his potential. Whether its mental or physical, its always something. I think JV is now seeing what Johan B. saw when he was with Discovery… With Millar, Vandevelde, Ryder, Trent, and now Dan showing their strengths, it seems very unlikely that JV will take such a huge gamble by including JD on the tour team. I don’t see what he can bring to the team and the risk of him DNF’ing is too great.
Sorry Tom. IF I was JV, you’d be racing in the Cascade Classic.
Lay off Tommy D. a tad , guys! The fella’s obviously not right and needs support, not a kick in the nuts when things aren’t quite happening at the moment.
Apparently something is up with Tom D. According to all preveous reports his training at high altitude was effective and going as planned. However I dont see his name on todays finish, he was 50th on the TT, any reports on what, where Tom is doing ?
I agree with others that is he is gamble for the tour squad, however none of us are part of the inner circle and dont know what is really going on. I wish Tom all the best and hope he can get back to form to be a contendor
