Hey guys! Thought I would drop a note on what I have been up to. While the weather in Catalunya has been rather unpleasant, that has not stopped me from getting lots of K’s in. I have been at home most of the time, nestled in the Pyrénées mountains, riding climb after climb.
There are so many incredible roads here, it feels just like mountain biking on great single-track. The roads wind all over the mountains and seem like they were built for cars. Even my girlfriend Stephanie who has been following me in the car with food, water, and a big smile cannot believe these roads! Well, whatever they were made for, I sure have spent my fair share of blood, sweat, and tears preparing for July.
I hate to be another person writing about how great they feel…But, I just have to say I feel good. That’s all I am going to say. I feel good.
So what’s next? Two races before the big one in July! GP Corrieos in Portugal starts tomorrow and then the Route du Sud in France. Both are good races with lots of climbing and I am very excited to see how I am riding.
While I have your attention, check out this video Stephanie made of my home away from home in Spain. It’s a compilation of the last two weeks of my training and some cool things the area I live in has to offer. Enjoy!

Tom, Great to hear you’re feeling well and looking forward to seeing you take on the mountains in France. We’ve been following you here in Georgia ever since you conquered the wall here at Brasstown and hoping this is the year you breakthrough in the Tour. Best of Luck! Go get em!
wow! amazing views! good luck on TdeF!
Tom, great footage. I’m going to be at L’Alpe D’Huez, talking smack, so crank it up. Maggie asked for Coke and Mars bars. Any requests?
Tom - we’re all glad you’re back doing your thing. You are a hard man, and we’re all behind you. DANCE up those mountains! As my old coach used to say about predictions: partly cloudy, 100% chance of pain…
The updates are great Tom-keep them coming. Video stuff is very cool. It’s nice to see what you’re up to and the stuff you’re riding since my vacation probably won’t take me out of CO. Best of luck and be healthy.
Dear lord what gear are you pushing? You make that look way to easy. Good luck in the upcoming races.
Dude that is sweet - I’m actually from Narre Warren - Now living in Costa Mesa California and trying to get my foot in the door, as a production/graphic designer, at Felt in Irvine CA…..
Cut a few blind corners there Tommy D! Cuidado
Great video! This is the stuff that I like to see. No one sees the work that goes on behind the scenes! If you or the other guys could get more stuff up like this, that would be awesome. You’re very lucky to have such great training, glad to hear you’re feeling well. Good luck!
Love the video and hope it represents great things to come in this years tour.
Tom

Hi Tom
Have just enjoyed watching your video, am just getting over some fever at the moment and was great to see your display of climbing poetry in motion.
that 20% gradient just looked effortless when watching your pedal strokes, truely inspirational to me.
Hope all is good with you and that your on track for the rest of the season.
All the best
