Giro stage 20The last day for the climbers to leave their mark, stage 20 includes three significant climbs over the course of 224 km.

The first climb, Passo di Gavia (2618 m), comes at 90 km into the stage and is 18.9 km long with an average grade of 7.2% and max grades of 16%. The riders then have a 50 km descent before hitting the short and mean steep Passo del Mortirolo (1854 m). This 12.8 km climb has an average grade of 10.3% and max grades of 18%.

The last climb of the 2008 Giro d’Italia is the gentle 15.35 km Passo dell’Aprica (1173 m). And though it has an average grade of 3.2% with a max of 9%, the Aprica will hardly feel gentle coming at the end of twenty days of hard racing.

Stage 20 is scheduled to start at 10:40 and finish between 16:53-17:40.
