Today was one sketchy day with the rain coming and going. The race was nuts the last 30 km coming into a crazy field sprint. Despite the team’s results, we are all kicking butt. With a bit of luck tomorrow, it can all work out.
I’m really happy with my legs now. I think the Dunkerque race is really starting to pay off. Hopefully just in time for Philly week. As for tomorrow, I think we are all ready to give it a go again.
Tomorrow’s first stage marks the one year since I got my face smashed in and got knocked out at this race. That put me out of competition for three months last year and has caused quite the post traumatic stress syndrome. I am ready to put all that behind me tomorrow and slap this race back in the face like it did to me a year ago.
Super Mario all the way.
