Giro drumroll…

Many of our major sponsors have come for the start. Julian Dean talks to Andy Ording from Zipp (right) before the ride.

9:15 First ride of the day. A one hour “coffee shop ride” for the boys to spin their legs out and test their spare road bikes. Dave Zabriskie arrives with with fresh bed head poking through his helmet.

10:10 Just finishing the morning ride. The guys managed to turn a single road along just outside our hotel into a loop with some creative out and back lollipoping. They were stoked.

10:30 Staff and sponsors pile into team bus to head to TTT start. They will park and get warm-up area ready for the guys in advance of their 2 pm arrival and the 4 pm start.

10:35 Kris our Kiwi mechanic (left) loads Sprinter heads to the race with all of our equipment.

11:00 Bus and sprinter are off while three of our Skoda race cars wait to transport the riders to Palermo start at 1 pm.
