Giro stage 1The 91st running of the Giro d’Italia will be particularly challenging with more time trials (three individual and one team) and more climbing than ever. The 21 stage race opens with a team time trial, includes two individual time trials (one mountain finish), and closes with a 23.5 km individual time trial. The race covers a total 3,423.80 km and traverses Italy from south to north, dipping into Switzerland for some bonus climbing.

The Giro d’Italia opens today with a 23.5 km team time trial. Look for the Argyle to set the standard today after focusing on the discipline during a special TTT training camp in Girona.

The first team is scheduled to start at 15:30 and the last team should finish around 17:50.
