TD's doing fine. I think the team is being smart to work on the long term recovery of their athletes, rather than pressing hard too soon and risking further injury for fleeting glory. This is why I like Team Slipstream Chipotle. They don't treat riders like meat puppets. They value their men and work at improving all their assets for the good of the individual as well as the team's long term prospects. The wins are coming and will continue to come with such esprit de corps.

I would agree on the Tommy Gun situation. The Giro is a back breaker. 2 months of week long stage races is better to improve his form for Le Tour which I would have to expect is what everyone wants.

The Argyle Armada needs Tommy Gun ala ToC 2007 & Paris-Nice 2007 when he was driving the train not the TD of Brasstown Bald 2008 still wearing a brace.

Everyone wants Tom to start kicking some butt but you can't let excitement get in the way of what is right for his form.

Hello Dan - No Tom isn't in the doghouse...He is actually still working on recovering from the injuries he suffered during his crash in the Vuelta. Please take a look at Tom's website for detailed information about his rehab, his team of doctors and therapists, and all he is doing to come back and perform at the level everyone expects of him. So all involved are trying to be very smart about his schedule.

TD must be JV's dog house! First that picture from the TDG where it looked like JV was scolding him and then being taken off the Giro squad. Man, I've always been cheering for TD, but it looks like his critics are getting to him this year.
