Gila final: Summerhill wins overall, Eckmann 8th, Barker 12th!

Looking good in the pink leader’s jersey, VMG/Felt U23 rider Danny Summerhill (left in pink) took the overall win in the 2008 Tour of the Gila yesterday. His 6th place finish in the final stage was enough to secure his final dominance in the men’s category 2 event.

Riding alongside Danny, 5280 Magazine rider Andrew Barker also had an excellent day and finished 5th in the final stage and 12th overall. Teammate Robin Eckmann (above in blue 5280 kit) finished 13th in the final stage and wrapped up his Tour of the Gila 8th overall! Not bad at all for two first-year cat 2s!
