The opening stage of the Tour de Georgia starts off gently with a relatively flat and short 115.6 km course that includes three sprint lines.
Stage 1 is scheduled to start at 10:30 and finish between 13:05-13:45.

The 43rd edition of the Amstel Gold Race starts in Maastricht and finishes a top the famous Cauberg climb in Valkenburg. The 252.2 km one day race includes no less that 30 “walls” and is known for its dangerous course with random road furniture.

Only after the peloton had zigged and zagged its way through 200 km of road furniture and over walls did the racing really start. Though Slipstream/Chipotle H3O was well-represented at the front when the decisive break went, the splintering peloton and ensuing chaos left the riders in the third group back.
