One of the most beautiful stages of the Tour of Georgia, the 142.3 km stage 6 finishes atop the breathtaking Brasstown Bald Mountain. Before the riders tackle the nearly 5,000 ft climb, they will have to conquer Hogpen Gap and Unicoi Gap.
Stage 6 is scheduled to start at 11:00 and finish between 14:15-15:10.

    We’re happy to report that Timmy is recovering well tonight. This morning’s surgery was a success and he’s aware - and very proud - of the team’s TTT win and Trent’s yellow jersey! He will continue to rest in the hospital, and then stay in Georgia until he’s ready to fly home.

  • Timmy underwent surgery on his collarbone earlier today. He remains in stable condition in a Georgia hospital, where he will continue to recover.

    As the longest stage of the 2008 Tour de Georgia, stage 5 also includes three KOMs - Burnt Mountain, Woody Gap and Crown Mountain. Today’s 214.7 km stage goes through no less than ten Georgia counties!
    Stage 5 is scheduled to start at 10:00 and finish between 14:50-16:10.
