Before the start of the final stage of the 2008 Tour de Georgia, Jonathan Vaughters and the entire Slipstream/Chipotle H3O team took a little detour to visit a young cyclist in his Atlanta hospital room. The visit was a surprise for Russell Tindol and also included the gift of a sweat and champagne soaked jersey from Trent Lowe.

One more confirmation as to why we love you guys as much as we do. I’ve been saying for a long time now that it’s not just who you guys are on the bikes, but its the men you are off them that make me really proud to be a fan.
Great TdG!
Your visit meant a lot to Russell, his family, and his team.
Thank you all again for taking time out of your very busy schedule to stop by and “make his day!”
just another proud fan, Liz
You guys really do rock, both on and off the bike! I cannot say how amazing you guys are, as much as you guys have made a difference on the bike, these acts that you do off the bike are the most impressive and make the world a much better place. Was Timmy D down the hall and did you get him with the champagne too?
Thank you for you sincere and selfless gesture which has changed this young man’s life. I am proud to be a supporter of such great people who ride for such a great team!

Jonathan/Team: As the General of the Argyle Army, I salute you.
Our Frazier Cycling team (kids and adults) had a great deal of enthusiasm and respect for Slipstream/Chipotle H30 before your vist to Russell. Your team is a positive, class act, from the development to Pro level. Keep doing what you do so well, both on and off the race courses. Thank you for making time to visit Russell and for your generosity in giving up Trent’s hard won jersey. Godspeed and good luck in Europe! We hope that Timmy will be back on the bike soon. We will be watching.
