Slipstream/Chipotle H3O took the inaugural 2008 Tour de Georgia team time trial with style and grace. Finishing with the necessary four riders - Tom Danielson, Trent Lowe, Christian Vande Velde and David Zabriskie - the team set the winning pace early in the race.
The Argyle Armada was seen “warming up” before the race with special, non-argyle ice vests. Said Christian Vande Velde, “Most of our racing this year - the Tour of California and Paris-Nice - has taken place in cold, wet conditions. Today was the first hot race of the year and the ice vests helped keep our core temperature down before the race.”
Danielson, who will move up on GC in time for the mountains, appreciated the challenge of the course and its 500-meter, 12% grade hill. “The hill was hard but a nice part of the course for me. I actually used it to recover,” said Danielson. “Plus it added some disruption to the course, so teams really needed to ride smart to keep it together for all four laps.”
Unfortunately, Tyler Farrar was one of the riders who had to peel off of the hard-driving Argyle train and will likely move down in the overall classification.

Great Ride! Now my question…Where can I get an offical team jersey? I can find last year’s jersey, but nothing for this year’s. PLEASE HELP. Thanks.

Looking awesome for the Giro TTT!
on a side note, why wait to put the hammer down on Brasstown. Chaos says send out a Danger Man like Trent or Danny on Friday and really put the hurt on the men of Astana!
I almost forgot how much fun watching pro cycling is. Thank you!! Tommy D…. can’t wait to see you kick Brasstown’s balls!
