For all you out there waiting to officially join the Argyle Armada, the wait is over. The cool blue and orange argyle kit of the 2008 Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O pro cycling team is available for purchase in the US through Pearl Izumi’s Slipstream store and in Europe through bike o’bello. For all the avid argyle fans outside these two areas, please check the list of international distributors.

The kit is an exact replica of that worn by the riders – only the best Pearl Izumi materials and craftsmanship. Jersey, gloves and two styles of socks are now available for pre-order. Bib shorts and full-argyle arm warmers coming soon.

I remember the old jersey was available in a women’s sizing. Are you going to have that again for this one?

(Actually, any chance of the old jersey design being sold too? It was pretty awesome.)

  • Ewoud

Any chance of Millar’s GB champ jersey being in the product line-up at some point? And a European distributor…?

  • woody

    Hello Kelly and Ewoud,

Some answers on cycling apparel as we work out the details:
    1. An international distributor is in the works and we’ll post any updates as soon as we have them.
    2. There are no more 2007 kits, very sorry.
    3. We’re checking on the possibility of women’s sizes and replicas of the different national champions jerseys.

Hope that helps. Please stay tuned!

  • BH

    Hello,

Any chance on selling the Long Sleeve and/or Vest versions of the new Slipstream kit?

    Thanks

  • Spoli

Any chance of the 2008 being available in XL ? More flying Argyle !

  • Chris

I’ve seen bib shorts and arm warmers advertised for pre-sale through various websites. When will these be available?

  • woody

Kelly – Good news! Pearl will be carrying Slipstream/Chipotle shorts and jerseys in women’s sizes. They won’t be available until April 30/early May – but stay tuned. And it looks like there will be some additional fun argyle jersey designs to choose from.

  • woody

Check this site for international orders: http://www.bobshop.de/en/shop/slipstream-2008/

  • TT

Are any of the proceeds going to the team, like the last outfits?

    Thanks,
    TT

  • Ken

Any chance other blue & orange argyle schwag will be coming in the pipeline? T-shirts, caps, etc?

  • woody

Ken – Other Argyle goodies – caps, tees, etc – should be available for purchase by May 1. Stay tuned…

  • Ted

    Painter’s caps fellas; painter’s caps.

  • Rob

There’s more cool Slipstream gear at Felt.

    Argyle cycling socks… BRILLIANT!!!

  • Bart

Thanks Woody and Bart. Bart, your email is not visible but presumably this URL (click my name) is what we’re looking for, right? Nat champs jerseys coming too?

  • http://www.crankynstinky.com AO

Any idea when large Jersey’s will be back in stock?

  • Brian

I second Ted–where can we find the Euro-style cycling caps?

  • Papa Meatball

I would gladly wear the argyle, but I need one to fit me. Can u help? The largest I see is sized medium. The Commerce Bank Classic is in 5 weeks. Can u get me one in an xl or 2x. Doesn’t have to be an actual jersey. Can be a jacket, regular shirt etc. Get r done.

  • woody

    Hey Papa Meatball,

I have seen larger sizes (XL, XXL) available at World Cycling Productions. Can’t promise they have what you need in stock, but it’s worth checking.

  • Michae

How can i order one if I live in Canada?

  • http://myspace.com/maxxyfowler Manchester City Max (in Cleveland)

I’d love to see the national champ kits. Millar’s and Backstedt’s are exceptionally beautiful.

  • woody

Michae – There is a Canadian Pearl Izumi rep listed on the international distributors page.

Max – Unfortunately, there will not be replicas of the national championship kits. It is too difficult to meet minimum production runs to be able to offer competitive pricing on what is a very specific product for a much smaller audience.

  • Edward

Can’t wait to see some more argyle gear released. Woody I’m going to hold you to it that new stuff will be out by the end of this week…

  • Dale Robertson

Caps guys… what about those caps?

  • Karl

Just to put some weight behind the idea, I too would love to see the national champs jersey produced as a replica– Julian’s New Zealand stealth black argyle-bad-arse version to be sure! Allez le noir!

  • Lisa

How about some women’s Slipstream kit?

  • woody

  • Rooney

Will there be any kids/youth sizes as both my boys have said they want jerseys to wear while watching the TDF on tv and to ride the local mtb trails in.

  • Mike

For the National Champ items, what would
non-competitive pricing be… if competitive pricing couldn’t be arranged?

  • James

I got mine today…so awesome!!! The burrito in the back product is so eye catching!

  • duncan bawler

cool cant wait to get argyled up,my felt and I are well up to fly the slipstream flag!

  • http://N/A Neil

How do I purchase tthe gear in Australia, it mentions Europe and America only. Used to go to the same school as david millar in HK ( a few years above) and have followed his career throughout the years. Would like some kit to show more support to the team and what they’re doing.

    Cheers

  • paul

Yeah, be great if you made Uk (and NZ and Sweden) champ jersey and shorts available – by the time the Tour comes round? A lot of other champions jerseys are available and is gd way to support individual riders.

  • Edward

When are we going to see some new gear? I thought new stuff was gonna be out two weeks ago?

  • Chris W

How about a wind vest? It seemed as though there was more to choose from last season.

  • Phil

I would also like to be able to get hold of the NZ champ jersey… Julian Dean & the ‘clean team’ idea are both popular down here in NZ. Thanks

  • Rich

Add another vote for the national champs’ jerseys… I’d love to buy a NZ one. Unfortunately you can’t even buy a 2007 anywhere… all sold out… so there’s definitely a market.

  • http://www.crankynstinky.com/ Aaron Ouellette

Any updates on when the caps / larger jersey sizes will be back in stock?
    Thanks,
    AO

  • Chris

Any info on the shorts delay? PI website still says 5/28/08 (past) and Felt won’t ship anything until after 6/9/08. I love the jersey, want the bibs to complete the kit.

  • Steve

Will x-large gloves be available again and what about the cycling caps? ….I love my jersey! thanks

  • Aztec

Any chance you’ll be selling the argyle knee and leg warmers??

or how about a wind and/or thermal vest??

    Thanks

  • Lionel Putz

Is there any chance Giro might make a replica Ionos helmet available?

  • bonxie

Any idea when Large kits will be back in stock?

  • John Bergeron

I am on the same page with Lionel.. Will there be a replica helmet made by Giro?

  • mike

where can i buy a tie?

  • Sharon

Still waiting for Men’s L jerseys and Women’s stuff to be stocked/restocked :(

We need argyle! (any updates on replenishment of goods???)

    p.s. Go Magnus!

  • Admin

Sharon – Have you checked all the outlets where merchandise is available? There are women’s jerseys at World Cycling Productions. Velogear has different items and REI is selling Slipstream jerseys. You should also consider contacting Pearl Izumi let them know you want argyle.

  • Witless

    I’m with Ted and Brian… I needs me a painter’s cap!

  • alex.r

    dear woody,
i am sure that a website called http://www.probikekit.com could sort out a good deal for the national champions jersys. they ship world wide and have a history of stocking national champion jerseys e.g. julian dean’s and micheal boegard’s. i feel that they would be itching to get some especially as they are currently running a “world series” with their PBK team jersey taking other nation’s colours.
thanks a lot for the exciting and fasinating experience which you have provided me with since i began to read this site

  • Slipstreamfan

Any chance there will be Slipstream Flags available? We’d love to fly it during the Tour!

  • Chris

It seems that there is a lot of interest in the team and very little gear to purchase. Last season Felt had tons of gear to choose from. Is Pearl Izumi going to at least make an argyle wind vest to go with the other argyle gear they are offering? I’d love to see a Slipstream windvest – I’m sure I am not the only one!

  • want2represent

I agree with Chris. Everybody loves your team, but there is nothing fans can buy to show that love. What about ball hats, casual t-shirts, everyday stuff????

  • Gus

I’m with all you other guys on the National kit. Price ain’t such a factor. I want Julian Dean’s Kiwi champ one!!! (in large, Kiwis are big fullas) Vive le noir and kia kaha!
If Credit Agricole could do a nat champ jersey y can’t you?

  • Ewoud

Guys, for the Garmin redesign, could you please go easy on the lavender and other insect attracting colours? This past week I got stung TWICE on the upper leg in my new Slipstream kit. Nasty big horseflies, too.

    Cheers,
    A fan

  • Jamison

Podium Caps? Searched the Net and the only one I can find is cycling cap…

  • Michael

Lots of Slipstream items on eBay right now. Rider issue stuff. Just bought a helmet.

  • Alex

When can we buy the new Garmin Chipotle kit!?!?

  • Edward

Just saw the new kit design on velonews (note–I did not see it on the team’s official website, which is odd). Love the new design. Would love to get a podium hat and/or a t-shirt. Are these available? Surely the team is aware that there will be increased interest in the team given the TDF is starting in two days and is prepared to capitalize on that increased interest by selling merchandise.

  • Scott

    Looking for the new kit…
