Race preview from DS Johnny Weltz:

Tomorrow we start the hilly classics. The first - Amstel Gold - is the biggest one-day race in Holland. So after last week’s strong performance, our youngster Martijn will have all of Holland to encourage him along the circuit.

For first time, all the Amstel Gold competitors will be carring a Garmin responder in their pockets. This will allow any one to follow their favorite cyclist throughout the entire race on the Amstel Gold website.

We have a good group of strong riders here with Millar in front. But look for Rabobank to be the big controller of the race, something we will try to benefit from.
