Sarthe ITT: Christian wins! 2nd in GC by 1″!

Christian Vande Velde, Circuit Cycliste Sarthe time trial This is a very cool feeling. My roommate Christian (left and below on podium) won the time trial today and just got back to the hotel. Actually, he didn’t just win it, he smashed everyone else. A ten-second difference over 9 km is a hell of a lot. To be honest, I think Voekler did a really good ride to only lose 20 seconds to our “motorbike”.

Now it’s up to DS Lionel to make a master plan to steal 1″ and the yellow Christian Vande Velde, Circuit Cycliste Sarthe podium from the French guy. We’re going to make Voeckler work for it that’s for sure.

    Outstanding. We all know Voeckler has heart from his time in TdF yellow a few years ago, but get the Argyle dancing around him like concentric circles and I bet he gets dizzy and falls off his bike.
