The report from stage 1. It was super cold and we had to play cat and mouse with a breakaway of two. Then Chris Sutton, Christian Vande Velde and Pat McCarty got caught up in a crash. We lost some time, but not much. And there are still four more stages left.
Tomorrow we get up at 6:45 am and start at 9:45 for the morning stage. And they predict that it will be near freezing temperatures!

Don’t take this the wrong way, but is anyone inside the armada concerned about all of the crashes the team has had this year? It doesn’t seem as though there is a race that where all of the guys have been able to keep it upright. Here’s to warmer weather and better fortunes!
