Today’s lively - and “hilly” - final stage of the 2008 Castilla y Leon included a noble breakaway attempt by our own Pat McCarty. Though that break didn’t hold, the team still managed to see to it that Christian Vande Velde (right) finished the stage 9th, holding on to his 10th place overall.

Great job guys! Very proud of Christian, can’t wait to see him in the TdF.
Christian did a great job and it’s wonderful to see him riding well. Perhaps everyone looks the same in argyle……the picture is of someone else.
Thanks Bob for the words of encouragement for Christian. And you are sort of right in that everyone sort of looks the same in their argyle kits…but you are wrong about the photo. That is Christian - a kilo or two lighter than normal - but still Christian.
