All your Slipstream/Chipotle favorites managed to finish today’s flat, windy stage on the same time as the stage winner Ventoso. As a result, all seven riders moved up at least one place in the overall classification. The Argyle now counts four riders in the top ten with almost all seven within a minute of race leader Contador.
Recounted young rider Dan Martin, “The finish was a little harder with a 1 km climb and an interesting 2 km descent. Tyler and Jason worked hard on the uphill, headwind sprint finish and both finished in top 20. And Huub moved up on GC meaning 4 argyle in the top 10!”
Look for tomorrow’s stage 4 with a flat start and category 1 mountain finish to shake things up a bit.

To have 4 in the top ten is amazing. Certainly to when the overall team comp is a great achievement but I haven’t seen the Argyle Armada play it safe up to this point in the season.
I say attack!!! Send McCarty, Donald and Martin on a break and make Astana work for it!
