Castilla y Leon stage 1: Valsain - La Granja de San Ildefonso

Castilla y Leon prologue The short, 9.7 km stage 1 time trial will set the tone for the week of challenging racing in central Spain. The predicted average speed for this opening stage is 50 kph.

The first of the 128 cyclists will start at 14:27, and the last rider will arrive at about 16:45.

This should be an interesting race considering that Astana is bringing most of their top talent (Liepheimer, Contador, Kloden, Horner, Noval).

Great experience for the young guys on Slipstream/Chipotle.
