Milano-Sanremo profileIn its 99th year, the 2008 Milano-Sanremo is the longest of all professional one-day cycling races and is known as “la classica di primavera”. Though the route includes the Poggio, Cipressa, and the ‘capi’ series of climbs, it is still known as a sprinters’ classic.

Taking place this year on Easter weekend, the race course was recently altered due to a landslide in January that closed the via Aurelia at Capo Noli. The race now goes over the 4.7 km Le Manie (318m) climb, adding another 4 km for a total of 298 km in the saddle!

The race starts at 9:45 am and finishes and is scheduled to finish between 4:30-5:15 pm.
