Trent Lowe, Paris-Nice stage 2 podium After 201 km of miserably wet weather, crashes and general chaos, Trent Lowe (picture left w/JV thumbs up) held his own with the front group and managed to take over the white best young rider jersey during stage 2. His performance also moved him up from 6th to 5th in the overall classification.

David Millar rode a heroic race and also managed to finish with the front group despite crashing hard and having to change bikes. His ride allowed him to preserve his 7th place position in the overall classification.
