After 201 km of miserably wet weather, crashes and general chaos, Trent Lowe (picture left w/JV thumbs up) held his own with the front group and managed to take over the white best young rider jersey during stage 2. His performance also moved him up from 6th to 5th in the overall classification.
David Millar rode a heroic race and also managed to finish with the front group despite crashing hard and having to change bikes. His ride allowed him to preserve his 7th place position in the overall classification.

Keep your chin up Tom….Ventoux awaits you!! The Seattle boys are cheering for you!!
Atta boy T-Lo!!! Give ‘em hell on the Ventoux!! Oui!
I always loved racing Paris-Nice. Its amazing how miserable the weather can be in the first few stages but changes as the peloton approaches Nice. Ventoux is a highlight but the peloton can make the race hardest whenever it wants….. Watch out for the tight, twisting, hilly/climbing roads as the race approaches Nice. The French teams and riders that know the roads in this area will attempt to tear the race apart.
