After a solid week of racing in the worst conditions ever seen for the Amgen Tour of California, Slipstream Chipotle H3O survived and grew stronger to leave their mark as one of the world’s best. The team won the overall team classification with a solid 16″ on Astana and more than eight minutes on both CSC and Quick Step - all Pro Tour teams.
Slipstream/Chipotle monopolized the final podium with David Millar second and Christian Vande Velde third overall. With four riders finishing in the top 12, Tom Peterson taking second in the best young rider classification, and Steven “Breakaway” Cozza keeping it real, the team has gotten off to a blazing start!
Stay tuned as the Argyle Armada sets sail for Europe where the team hopes to leave their mark on the upcoming Het Volk, Kuurne-Bruxels-Kuurne and the Volta a Valenciana.
