October 23, 2007 - Boulder, CO – Slipstream Sports, LLC, is breathing new life into American youth cycling. The organization today announced “Causing the Slipstream,” a development program to provide financial support to outstanding youth cycling programs across the country. Grant winners will also receive access to private training from Slipstream/Chipotle team members and renowned Sports Physiologist, Allen Lim, PHD, along with discounts and support from Team Slipstream/Chipotle sponsors including Chipotle, Felt, and Giro Clothing.

The program will be open for applications from youth cycling programs across the country beginning October 3, 2007 through October 31, 2007. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements listed at www.slipstreamsports.com will be considered for grants, which will be available at three levels:

Yellow Jersey Program – Two awarded
• $5,000 development fund
• The top rated junior from each program is invited to attend a team training camp
• One Felt bike awarded to the most Outstanding Junior
• Discounts from industry sponsors, Felt, Giro, Pearl Izumi and others
• Access to Private online coaching forum with Allen Lim
• Access to Private online Q & A forum with selected Slipstream/Chipotle riders
• Up to 25 Chipotle Burrito cards
• Large-sized logo for placement on team’s kit/Web site/vehicles

Argyle Jersey Program – Four awarded
• $2,500 development fund
• One Felt bike awarded to the most Outstanding Junior
• Proposed discount on clothing from Slipstream Chipotle clothing sponsor
• Access to Private online Q & A forum with selected Slipstream/Chipotle riders
• Up to 25 Chipotle Burrito cards
• Medium-sized logo for placement on team’s kit/Web site/vehicles

Polka-Dot - KOM Jersey Program – 19 awarded
• Access to Private online Q & A forum with selected Slipstream/Chipotle riders
• Up to 25 Chipotle Burrito cards
• Cycling caps, trading cards
• Small-sized logo for placement on team’s kit/Web site/vehicles

Team Slipstream/Chipotle will compete in a full slate of international races throughout the spring and summer, including the Amgen Tour of California, Tour of Georgia and are poised to compete in Paris-Nice, Criterium International, Philly Week (Lancaster, Reading and Philadelphia), Dauphine Libere, USPRO Criterium, USPRO Road Race, Tour of Missouri, and, hopefully, the Tour de France.
