October 04, 2007 - Los Angeles, CA - 17 year old Taylor Phinney capped his already outstanding season with a win in the men’s individual pursuit at the Elite Track National Championships this evening. Phinney posted a time of 4:38.413 in the final, beating fellow Slipstream rider Brad Huff and earning the top step of the podium. Having already won the Junior World Time Trial Championships earlier in the year, Phinney once again proved he is one of the most exciting juniors in American cycling. Slipstream Sports is thrilled to have him return next year for another season of racing with our junior development TIAA-CREF/5280 squad. Mike Friedman won the Bronze medal race to give Slipstream riders all three spots on the podium.
