SLIPSTREAM/CHIPOTLE TO UNVEIL WINNER OF “GET IN THE SLIPSTREAM” JERSEY DESIGN CONTEST
For the first time in cycling history, a fan will design a professional team jersey
Winner to be unveiled on September 27, 2007 at media announcement at Interbike
WHAT: The fans have spoken and tomorrow Jonathan Vaughters, Director of Team Slipstream/Chipotle, will unveil the winner of the “Get in the Slipstream” contest, sponsored by Slipstream Sports LLC and its chief venture, the Slipstream/ Chipotle Professional Cycling Team.
For the first time in cycling history, a fan will help design a professional team jersey. Slipstream’s “Get in the Slipstream” contest allowed fans to submit design ideas for the official 2008 Team Slipstream/Chipotle jersey. The winning designer, who will be unveiled on Thursday, September 27, 2007, at the media center at Interbike, will help design the official team jersey, worn in and out of competition for the entire 2008 season. The winner will also receive a full team kit and jersey autographed by the team members.
A panel of judges, including Doug Ellis and Jonathan Vaughters, selected the top 5 jersey designs submitted by fans and the global public was then invited to vote for the winning jersey. More than 600 fans entered the competition and thousands more voted to select the winner.
