Frischkorn earns Most Aggressive Rider Jersey at MissouriSeptember 13, 2007 - Springfield, Missouri - A strong ride in yesterday’s stage 2 of the inaugural Tour of Missouri earned Will Frischkorn the Most Aggressive Rider prize. Frischkorn and teammate Mike Friedman were attentive early and joined a strong break in the opening kilometers of the day. The break worked as a group and built an advantage of near 20 minutes at one point. With most teams represented and the large time gap, the break was left to fight it out on their own for the stage win. Frischkorn played the role of supporting team-mate to perfection, attacking the group multiple times during the closing small circuits in an effort to setup Friedman for a stage win. Friedman picked his chance and jumped early for the line, coming within 50 meters, and in the end, half a bike length of taking home the days prize. Unfortunately Discovery rider George Hincapie was able to catch Friedman before the line. However, the days efforts did not go unnoticed as Frischkorn was recognized that evening on the podium. He will start Thursdays stage in the Drury Inn Most Aggressive Rider jersey. With two riders finishing in the days break and the rest of the team rolling in with the main group, Team Slipstream-Chiopotle also earned the number 1 spot in the Team Competition with nearly 14 minutes advantage.
