August 30, 2007 – France – Stage 2 of Tour du Poitou Charentes et de la Vienne took the riders 173.1 km from La Rochelle to Cerizay. Huub Duyn and Kilian Patour were able to represent Team Slipstream-Chipotle in the front half of a major split in the main peloton consisting of nearly 70 of the 135 riders to start the days stage. Although greatly out-numbered Duyn was able to put himself 14th on the stage and hold a top 10 spot on the GC. He remains just 13 seconds out of the best young rider’s jersey in 4th spot. Stage 3 was a 183.9 km trek from Mauleon to Chatellerault. The stage concluded in a bunch sprint with nearly all the Team Slipstream-Chipotle riders in the group. Huub Duyn was able to hold on to his 9th place position on the GC, just 13 seconds out of the lead. Duyn is also 13 seconds out of the best young rider’s jersey as well. Stage 4 – Individual Time Trail – Jaunay Clan – With a strong top ten ride in the 20 km long time trial Duyn was able to climb another 3 places on the GC. Kilian Patour put in a solid ride of his own, rolling across the line just 24 seconds behind his teammate. Placing two Slipstream-Chipotle riders inside the top 25 on the stage.
Stage 5 – A 105 km stage from Futuroscope to Poitiers saw a break get away and stay away. Huub Duyn, Peter Stetina, and Benjamin Johnson were all able to make it home with the main group. This effort kept Duyn in his 6th place position on GC finishing off a strong week of racing. The final results can be found on the cyclingnews.com website Here
