June 17, 2007 - Quebec City, Quebec - Two-time Under-23 National Champion Ian MacGregor took home the biggest win of his career today, and continued the remarkable performance of Team Slipstream/Chipotle at the Tour de Beauce.

On a hot and humid afternoon in the historic center of Quebec City, MacGregor continued Slipstream/Chipotle’s aggressiveness of the week, and joined the early breakaway of 6 riders. Team Navigators, with the yellow jersey in their possession, rode tempo all day and allowed the breakaway to dangle out front just enough.

MacGregor perfectly capitalized on the breakaway group’s hesitation following their catch of a solo attacker; with 4km to go, most of which was part of a steep climb to the finish line, MacGregor gave it everything he had left and held off his chasers for Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s first ever UCI stage win.
