May 03, 2007 – Mogollon, NM – Thursday’s Stage 2 of the Tour of the Gila was set to be a day for the climbers, and Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s crew rode pretty well on the long final climb up towards the ghost town of Mogollon, in the Gila National Forest.

Tom Peterson finished 11th, Blake Caldwell 13th, Timmy Duggan 18th and Lucas Euser 24th.

The 5280 Magazine Junior team fared well too, with Robin Eckmann climbing his way into the top-10 overall with a fine 8th place result in the Cat. 3 race. Taylor Phinney bridged to the winning breakaway in the Cat. 2 race and grabbed 3rd on the stage while gaining enough time to take over the race lead. Daniel Summerhill looked good on the day’s final climb as well, finishing 14th on the stage.
